CD cover pracitce

Here I have used Photoshop Elements 9, in order to practice editing the a CD cover. In the following image I  have used the quick selection tool in order to cut out the artist's face to place on a out of space background. The out of space background portrays the image of the artists self image, being, a teacher daydreaming whilst teaching his class about going into outerspace. I have centered the track list in the center of the left hand side panel and I have also included a barcode whilst follwing standard conventions. Although this product looks unprofessional, it really helped me gain an understanding of Photoshop and how it works in order for me to produce my own digipack for my music video. During this practice lesson I also learnt about some of the standard conventions of a digipack being, the need for legal copyright information at the bottom of the left hand side panel, a record label company logo, a website, a barcode, and no text must be covering the artists face etc...
